Game Detail
The Game Detail view is where you manage everything about a specific game.
On This Screen
Section titled “On This Screen”- Launch Game — Start playing. Aurora backs up your saves before every launch (while Automatic Save Backups is on — the default).
- Details chips — Engine and RGSS version, color tag (tap to change it), game version, size, and directory. Below them: saved-games count, save folder, and last played. When other Link players are playing this game, a status chip shows it here too.
- Save Manager — Browse this game’s save files. See Save Manager.
The Gear Menu
Section titled “The Gear Menu”Game Settings — Per-game overrides, with a Use Global Settings toggle to fall back to your defaults. Sections:
- Compatibility — Known-Game Fixes, Error Tolerance Shims, and the Ruby Runtime picker (Auto / Modern 3.1 / Legacy 1.8 / Ace 1.9) — runtime changes apply at the next launch
- Display — Smooth Scaling, Fixed Aspect Ratio, VSync
- Frame Pacing and Performance — Frame Skip, Disable Autotile Animation, Path Cache
- Cheats and Fonts — Solid Fonts, Font Scale
Upscaling (FSR, xBRZ), post-processing (CAS sharpen, bloom, FXAA), and shader presets are global settings — find them under Settings → Engines → RPGM XP / VX / VX Ace.
Cheats — Debug/Cheat Mode and Walk Through Walls for all classic games, plus Disable Wild Encounters and 100% Catch Rate for PE. MV/MZ web games use their own playtest-mode cheat instead (F9 debug menu, hold Ctrl to walk through walls). Most cheats apply instantly; Debug/Cheat Mode takes effect on the next launch — and be aware that debug mode can change or even break some games. See Cheats.
Change Save Folder… — Link this game to a different save folder and choose Local or iCloud storage. A save link is just a game’s linked save folder — multiple games can share one.
Plugins — Manage this game’s plugins (classic RGSS games only).
Logs — Appears once a game has produced log files; check here when something goes wrong.
Advanced — Rename Game, Rename Directory, Change Icon, and Delete Game. Deleting a game keeps its save folders, and re-importing the game can re-link them.
